When Dell wanted to protect its storage servers (Windows Storage Server 2003), they chose ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Dell's technical evaluation team needed antivirus support and put several antivirus products and their threat detection capabilities through rigorous testing. After testing the major brands of antivirus they came to ESET NOD32 Antivirus, which they installed and launched. When their performance monitoring application displayed no change in CPU utilization in their Windows Storage Server 2003, they concluded ESET NOD32 Antivirus must not be running. However, closer inspection revealed that it was indeed running. But the resource utilization of ESET NOD32 Antivirus was below the detection tolerance levels of the monitoring application!
